A central goal of the project is the publication of an anthology on the topic of religion and ecological sustainability. The focus will be on empirical research in this area. An overview of different research approaches will be given and the possible roles of religion in ecologically sustainable processes will be pointed out on the basis of various case studies, mainly from Europe. This includes various religious traditions, but also the field of "eco-spirituality". The book is rounded off with assessments from sustainability research on the extent to which religion can enrich the field of research.

Workshop & Conference

The book will be the result of a process of exchange between the authors involved. The creation process includes two events: A workshop and a conference.
